Overview
Keeping training content fresh and relevant is key to engagement and injury prevention. The Embed Playlist feature allows you to manage a playlist of videos that feed directly into a Vimocity embedded video player. These show up as scrollable video lists in your organization’s safety portal, tailboard or internal platform.
This guide is for admins who want to manage the content inside an embedded playlist and this article will cover:

How Embedded Playlists Are Created
Embedded playlists are initially created and linked by Vimocity during implementation. These playlists are connected to your organization’s embedded video players and are marked with an “Embedded” indicator in your playlist library. Once a playlist is created and admin permissions are assigned, you can manage the content inside that playlist.
| Note: You cannot create, rename or delete an embedded playlist. If you’d like a new playlist created or changes made to an existing one’s title or setup, please contact your Vimocity Customer Success Manager or email coach@vimocity.com. |
How to Manage Your Embedded Playlist
- Go to “My Playlists” in the Vimocity platform
- Look for playlists marked with the “Embedded” indicator
- Click “Edit” on the playlist you want to update
- From there, you can:
- Remove a video using the red (–) icon
- Reorder videos by dragging and dropping
- Click “Save” to publish changes
- Once saved, changes will automatically update in the embedded widget, but users may need to refresh their screen to see the changes
How to Add Videos to an Embedded Playlist
Option 1: From Video Card
- Hover over any video and click the “+” icon
- Select the playlist you want to add the video to (look for the “Embedded” tag)
- The video will be added immediately
Option 2: From Video Detail Page
- Click into any video
- Select “+ Save to Playlist”
- Choose your playlist (again, look for “Embedded”) or create a new one
- The video will be added instantly
