Injury Data Request Overview Template

Overview

A company's injury data serves as an important lagging indicator of historical risks and trends. In order to help your safety and leadership teams make informed decisions, Vimocity provides expert analysis of your company's injury and incident data on a regular basis.

Our analysis will provide insights into trends related to body areas injured, mechanism of injury, high-risk populations, high-risk times of the year, and benchmarking of relative progress.

This article will cover:

  • Best practices for providing Vimocity with injury data and how often
  • Common questions regarding how Vimocity uses the data, security practices, and what type of analysis you can expect to receive

  • How will this data be used?
There are two critical ways that we will use this data:
    • Tailoring the program to fit the company's greatest need. For Example, if we find a high number of preventable shoulder injuries, we may focus the program on injury prevention related to shoulders.
    • Measuring the effectiveness of the program over time. By tracking injuries and costs over time, we are able to give leadership insight into the effectiveness of their interventions and opportunities for continual improvement.
  • Will this data be kept confidential?
Yes! We understand the need to maintain the privacy and security of information and we strive to collect only the information we need from your company to perform the services requested under the Program. All data will be kept confidential and aggregated for final analysis. Please never include employee-identifiable data. Remove all names and employee IDs from the data before transferring data.

  • How often should I be transferring data entries?
Best practice is to share data monthly via a secure file transfer system at vimocity.wetransfer.com. Data transfer request instructions below:
    1. Ensure all personally identifiable information (PII) is removed before sending.
    2. Use vimocity.wetransfer.com for the file transfer.
    3. If wetransfer.com is blocked by your company, email is an alternative, although please ensure the email is encrypted when sending files. If you've never used email encryption before, please refer to this explainer webpage for guidance.
