Group Setting: Employee Onboarding Steps

Introducing the Vimocity Initiative

Ensuring employees are aware of the health and safety resources available to them is key to long-term success. The following steps provide a guide for those responsible for employee orientation or apprentice training in a group setting.

Step 1: Provide a Brief Background on the Vimocity Initiative

  • {Company} is devoted to ensuring the health and safety of our team members. 
  • As part of that commitment, we offer a benefit called  {Program Name} - an initiative in partnership with the experts at Vimocity that provides resources to relieve the stiffness and soreness that often occur from daily activities.
  • Vimocity combines the best of sports medicine and movement science to deliver relevant solutions that help us do our jobs with less strain and solve our unique areas of discomfort.
  • Today we are going to be introducing you to the initiative with an interactive onboarding experience!  
  • In this video workshop, you’ll learn a simple system to alleviate and even prevent muscle and joint discomfort. And then actually have a chance to test it out for yourself by following along.
  • You are also receiving massage tools that are for you to keep. We’ll be using those a bit later in the interactive portion so have those ready to go!

Step 3: Play The ~20 Minute Onboarding Video

  • Use this link to navigate to the Getting Started Part 1 & 2 video (~20 min)
  • IMPORTANT: To access the video, you will need to be logged into your Vimocity account. If you don’t have an account yet, please create one prior to the onboarding session at https://portal.vimocity.com/signup

Step 4: Prompt Employees To Activate Their Account 

  • Pause the video at the end to keep the QR code on screen
  • Encourage team members to download the app/ activate their accounts so that they can access targeted solutions and more

Step 5: Allow a Few Minutes for Questions/ Discussion

  • Provide the group with direction on ways they can expect to see the Vimocity initiative in practice at your company or within their workgroup going forward. Examples:
      • Pre-shift movement sessions
      • Movement Challenges
      • Featured videos played in monthly meetings, etc
  • If questions arise that you are unable to answer, please direct them towards Vimocity using the support bubble on portal.vimocity.com or the "Help" button under the Settings menu in the Vimocity mobile app.
